I have always loved the Dead's cover of Watchtower. You can get some spitting Bob, fanning Jerry, and Hammond B3 Brent all in one tasty package!

Thaere are those among us, who feel that life is but a joke!

hey Scrim - check this one out and tell me what you think if you have time. One of my favorite versions. Weir sounds allmost evil in his delivery and Jerry shreds the solo. Nice sound too for aud imo. btw - tracking is messed up

That's what we're talkin about, and the period I think of for rippin Watchtowers.

This used to be a favorite tape, but haven't listened to it since going digital. I need to hunt this one down again (it also has one of my guilty pleasures: Believe It or Not.) (though not really an end of 2nd set type of song.)

And the wind begins to HOWLLLLLLLL - I like how the crowd howls back when he sings this line. Kind of like in Little Red Rooster - when the hounds begin to HOWLLLLLL

Hooooowwwwwwwwwllllllllllllllllll

I'm ready for some Friday beer and some SHREDDING Jerry

Dang! Friday beer and shredding Jerry? Too bad you don't live closer. My better half is sick so I don't think she'll be up for being very festive tonight. At least we did get our vids in the mail. Looks like it'll be a Family Guy night tonight. Love that show.

Have a great one.

My wife is sick too, which means I'll walk down to my friend's house tonight. He's single, so down there I can jam Jerry, drink whiskey, smoke cigarettes, grunt, and all those other manly things we do when the wife is away.

Have a great weekend

Hey Johnny - Some time ago I wrote a post which included the phrase gigiddy-gigiddy....and Arb didn't know what that was! I now refer to Arb as my Amish buddy from the internet! Slight contradiction, but way funny!

That one went over my head my friend. I assume you're talking about the family guy? I have to admit I've only started watching it this year on re-runs because that channel comes in great and I don't get the Fox worth crap. Anyway, we've gotten totally addicted to it. Now we're ordering the DVD's to rent to catch up.

my daughter got me to watch this clip because it creased her up - had a similar effect on me too. (Oh yeah, and I don't know what a Hollaback Girl is either, but I want them dead too...)

Scrim - try this post-Brent Hornsby/Garcia Watchtower. It's pretty impassioned and apocalyptic I think (and goes into a sweet Stella).

I did, nice strong version, thanks! Was that Gary Duncan jamming in?

It's been a while since I listened to a Bruce show, he sounds good, adds that Keith feeling to the songs.
